Ecological postal boxes

We use recycled cardboard and recycled paper in all postal boxes that we produce and print. In this way your custom-made postal boxes are ecologically sound. All postal boxes that we produce are 100% recyclable when the boxes are cleaned of any plastic residues and neatly disposed of with the waste paper.

As of September 1, 2021, we have taken a sustainable but also necessary step in the field of paper packaging. All newly produced paper bags and boxes that we import from outside the EU will be FSC® certified. With this step we work entirely in accordance with EUTR legislation.

Material of postal boxes

We produce postal boxes based on sturdy paper / cardboard. We produce the classic postal boxes, depending on the size, in 450-650 grs. white or brown paper / cardboard. We print the postal boxes directly on the paper. The postal boxes in model FEFCO 0427 (express shipping boxes) are produced from corrugated cardboard. Due to its small size, a single-layer corrugated cardboard is sufficient. The inside and outside are covered with the printed white or brown paper. Do you want a luxurious or special look? Then we can have your postal boxes provided with a gloss / matt varnish or laminated with a gloss / matt laminate.

Use of postal boxes

Postal boxes are used as shipping boxes or as shipping packaging for small products that fit through the mailbox. Postal boxes are often used by web shops to send items such as clothing, textiles, accessories, birthday cards, flowers, gifts and other small items. The great advantage of the postal boxes is that we produce these custom shipping boxes in any desired size and in this way can always produce a suitable size for you. This saves you shipping costs because usually sending a postal box by post is cheaper than sending a parcel box with a Parcel Express Service. In addition, postal boxes act as protective packaging for your shipped products. In general, a maximum size and weight is used for postal packages. That is why it is useful to know that in The Netherlands, for example, the maximum dimensions of a postal box are 38 x 26.5 x 3.2 cm and the maximum weight is 2 KG. Therefore, make sure that you use external dimensions and not internal dimensions when assembling your postal boxes! By using external dimensions for your printed postal boxes, you can at least be sure that it will fit through the mailbox.

Models of postal boxes

We can produce postal boxes in all types of models with different finishes. In general, we produce the two most popular postal boxes for postal shipping boxes:

The classic postal boxes with an opening on the two short sides. These postal boxes are delivered flat and can easily be folded together within a few seconds thanks to the creasing lines. Once the product has been packed in the postal box, the openings can be easily closed by folding the flaps inwards and closing them. These classic postal boxes are usually made of thick, sturdy paper / cardboard.
The express shipping boxes, model FEFCO 0427. These postal boxes are delivered flat and can easily be assembled. These postal boxes are produced from single-layer corrugated cardboard covered with white or brown paper.
